Groups

Groups are made of people who GATHER regularly for friendship,  GROW together spiritually, and GO out into their worlds to share the love of Christ. We believe friendships are formed in circles, not in rows.

Find community

in a group

The reason we have groups is not because it’s practical, but because it’s Biblical.
We see in Acts 2:46 that the New Testament Church met both in homes (groups) and in the temple (corporate gatherings).

Groups are integral to all that we do at Rock Creek. As our church grows larger through the weekend services, we grow smaller during the week. Groups are a great way to meet new friends, grow in your relationship with God, and GROW in COMMUNITY.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Should I Expect?

Weekends are awesome at Rock Creek, but our growth takes place when we move beyond the black chair and share life with other Christ followers.

The goal of joining a group is to grow in your walk with Jesus around people that can support you in taking your next steps. We believe life is better lived in circles rather than rows. There are many options from which to choose. We say it like this: we try on groups like we try on shoes: keep trying until you find the one that fits.

Is childcare provided?
Not all groups offer childcare, but there are options available. Make sure to let us know if you would like to join a group with childcare. Some groups will have participants share responsibility in watching the children, split the cost for a sitter, or make other arrangements.
How often do Groups meet?
Groups meet on different days and times throughout the week. Some choose to meet every week, bi-weekly, or once a month.
Where do Groups meet?
Groups meet in homes, restaurants, and coffee shops all across the area.
What will my Group study?

We provide in-depth discussion plans based upon the pastors’ talks from the weekend services, providing an opportunity for you and your friends to go deeper into Sunday’s sermon. We also utilize RightNowMedia for additional resources.
