Groups
Groups are 8-12 people who get together each week in a convenient location to grow and have fun together. The goal is to apply the Bible to daily life, have a short time of prayer and enjoy relationships. We practice community in groups.

Find community

in a group

The reason we have groups is not because it’s practical, but because it’s Biblical.
We see in Acts 2:46 that the New Testament Church met both in homes (groups) and in the temple (corporate gatherings).

Groups are integral to all that we do at Rock Creek. As our church grows larger through the weekend services, we grow smaller during the week. Groups are a great way to meet new friends, grow in your relationship with God, and GROW in COMMUNITY.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Should I Expect?

Weekends are awesome at Rock Creek, but our growth takes place when we move beyond the black chair and share life with other Christ followers.

The goal of joining a group is to grow in your walk with Jesus around people that can support you in taking your next steps. We believe life is better lived in circles rather than rows. There are group options available for Young Single Adults, Older Single Adults, Married Couples, Men, Women, and Young at Heart. We want to help you find the best fit.

Is childcare provided?
Not all groups offer childcare, but there are options available. Make sure to let us know if you would like to join a group with childcare. Some groups will have participants share responsibility in watching the children, split the cost for a sitter, or make other arrangements.
How often do Groups meet?
Groups meet on different days and times throughout the week. Some choose to meet every week, bi-weekly, or once a month.
Where do Groups meet?
Groups meet in homes, restaurants, and coffee shops all across the area.
What will my Group study?

Most groups decide to use their own study or they utilize RightNow Media.  Additionally, at various times throughout the year, a majority of the groups will do a study based on a message series our Pastors are preaching about.
